Hearing or listening to a song, then watching the music video made for that exact song will bring about two totally different reactions.Music videos do indeed affect the way I feel about a particular song. They also at times change like or dislike for a song.
A typical example is the song 'Alejandro' by the well know Lady Gaga. I hate how Lady Gaga portrays herself to the public, but I do love some of her songs. Same goes for her song Alejandro. It was one of my favorite songs, I even had it as my ring tone for my cell.
A friend and I were discussing the latest songs, and she told me I absolutely have to see Lady Gaga's Alejandro. She even went on to say it was "art", which I rolled my eyes for, but I was excited to see the video nevertheless, because of my love for the song. When I finally saw the video, I was so confused and disgusted all at the same time. I'm still not sure if her backup dancers were women or men; I don't know why she felt the need to devour religious objects in the video; I still don't know what was up with the whole Nazi theme; Then there were times when the music video resembled soft porn. A song I loved so much left such a bad taste in my mouth after watching this video. I still hum or sing along when I hear the song, but I still won't sit through the video. I doubt I may sit through any Lady Gaga videos after watching this one.

Journal 1
I'm a new student to Norwalk Community College, and so far my experience at this college has actually been a smooth transition all but buying my books. The lines at the bookstore are beyond ridiculous, and even more annoying when you're running late for a class. Be prepared to stand in line no less than three hours, in lines that literally end outside the bookstore. When you are finally in the bookstore after your three hour ordeal, sometimes the book or books you've come to purchase are not even in stock. Which I think is ridiculous. The bookstore caters for the classes, the school. How can certain books be unavailable. Even more so, you've wasted your time waiting on a line for nothing. I believe there should be some system in place that allows us students to just walk in and find out for ourselves if the books we need are available. Standing on a line that goes on forever is sort of ridiculous.
